From the historic homes in Five Points to the newer developments in East Athens, Elias has spent years clearing clogs and ensuring smooth-running drains across our community. He started Athens DrainCraft to provide a service that truly understands the local landscape, whether it's dealing with tree roots from the mature oaks in Boulevard or the specific demands of commercial properties near the Georgia Theatre. Our base at 145 Foreman Dr, Athens, GA 30605, places us right in the heart of the area we serve, allowing us to respond quickly across Downtown Athens, Normaltown, and beyond.
Elias, as Founder and Lead Drain Specialist, leads a team committed to solving drain issues with precision and care. How it works
What to expect, start to finish
Initial Assessment and Diagnosis
When you call Athens DrainCraft for drain cleaning, especially if it's an emergency, our first step is to quickly understand the situation. We'll ask about the symptoms you're experiencing, whether it's a slow drain in Five Points or a complete backup in Normaltown. Once on-site, we use specialized cameras and diagnostic tools to pinpoint the exact location and cause of the clog, whether it's grease buildup in an older Boulevard home or roots encroaching on pipes near the State Botanical Garden of Georgia.
Upfront Quote and Plan
After our assessment, we'll provide a clear, upfront quote for the drain cleaning service. We'll explain the recommended solution, whether it's snaking, hydro-jetting, or another method, and answer any questions you have. Our goal is to ensure you understand the process and costs before we begin, preventing surprises for homeowners in East Athens or near the University of Georgia campus.
Professional Drain Cleaning
With your approval, our skilled technicians will proceed with the drain cleaning. We utilize professional-grade equipment, tailored to the specific clog and pipe material. For example, stubborn blockages common in older homes across Clarke County might require hydro-jetting to completely clear the pipes, while a simple kitchen sink clog often needs a professional snaking. We work efficiently to restore proper drainage, minimizing disruption to your home.
Post-Service Inspection and Advice
Once the drain is clear, we perform a final inspection, often using our cameras again, to confirm that the blockage is completely removed and the pipes are flowing freely. We'll also offer practical advice on how to prevent future clogs, especially given Athens' humid subtropical climate which can contribute to certain types of buildup. We're committed to ensuring your drains remain clear, whether you're close to Sanford Stadium or further out towards Winder.
Testimonials
What Athens, GA Customers Say
“Our kitchen sink was completely backed up after Thanksgiving. We tried everything, but nothing worked. Athens DrainCraft came out the same day, used their camera to find a grease blockage deep in the pipe, and then cleared it out with a hydro-jet. Everything drains perfectly now, much faster than before.”
“We had a slow-draining shower for weeks that eventually just stopped draining altogether. Athens DrainCraft arrived on time and quickly diagnosed it as a hair clog. They used a snake to clear it out, and the water flows freely again. They even cleaned up the small mess afterward.”
“Our main sewer line backed up into the basement, which was a nightmare. Athens DrainCraft responded quickly. They located the issue, which turned out to be tree roots in the old clay pipes, and used a heavy-duty auger to cut through them. They got everything flowing again and saved us a huge headache. Very professional and explained everything clearly.”
