About Athens DrainCraft
Athens DrainCraft was founded by Elias Vance, a lifelong resident of Clarke County with a deep understanding of Athens' unique plumbing challenges. From the historic homes in Five Points to the newer developments in East Athens, Elias has spent years clearing clogs and ensuring smooth-running drains across our community. He started Athens DrainCraft to provide a service that truly understands the local landscape, whether it's dealing with tree roots from the mature oaks in Boulevard or the specific demands of commercial properties near the Georgia Theatre. Our base at 145 Foreman Dr, Athens, GA 30605, places us right in the heart of the area we serve, allowing us to respond quickly across Downtown Athens, Normaltown, and beyond.
Elias, as Founder and Lead Drain Specialist, leads a team committed to solving drain issues with precision and care. We know that Athens' humid subtropical climate, with its hot summers and mild winters, can contribute to unique drain problems, from increased plant growth leading to root intrusion to the accumulation of grease from backyard barbecues. Unlike services from Atlanta or Winder that might not grasp these local nuances, Athens DrainCraft focuses exclusively on the Athens area. We pride ourselves on transparent communication, upfront quotes, and workmanship you can inspect, treating every home and business with the respect it deserves, from residences near the University of Georgia to businesses by Sanford Stadium.
Our approach is simple: diagnose accurately, explain clearly, and fix effectively. We're not just clearing a clog; we're providing peace of mind. Whether it's an emergency drain cleaning on a Saturday afternoon or a routine maintenance check, you'll always get a knowledgeable professional who cares about your property. We've built our reputation one satisfied customer at a time, ensuring that drains flow freely across all Athens neighborhoods, including those close to the State Botanical Garden of Georgia.
I'm Elias Vance, and I founded Athens DrainCraft right here in Clarke County. Having spent my entire career working with plumbing systems across Athens, from the historic homes in Five Points to the newer developments in East Athens, I saw a real need for a drain cleaning service that understood the unique challenges our city faces. We're not just another company; we're your neighbors, deeply familiar with everything from the tree root intrusions common in older Boulevard properties to the specific clogs that can plague student housing near the University of Georgia campus. The humid subtropical climate, with its hot summers and mild winters, often contributes to unique issues we see in drain lines, and understanding these local conditions is key to providing lasting solutions. Before starting Athens DrainCraft, I spent years tackling everything from routine kitchen sink blockages to complex main sewer line obstructions, often in the shadow of landmarks like Sanford Stadium or the Georgia Theatre. This hands-on experience, coupled with a commitment to serving our community, is what drives Athens DrainCraft. We're based right here at 145 Foreman Dr, Athens, GA 30605, and we're dedicated to keeping the drains flowing smoothly for our friends and neighbors, whether you're in Normaltown or need emergency service after a weekend trip to Atlanta or Winder.

Testimonials
What Athens, GA Customers Say
“Our kitchen sink was completely backed up after Thanksgiving. We tried everything, but nothing worked. Athens DrainCraft came out the same day, used their camera to find a grease blockage deep in the pipe, and then cleared it out with a hydro-jet. Everything drains perfectly now, much faster than before.”
“We had a slow-draining shower for weeks that eventually just stopped draining altogether. Athens DrainCraft arrived on time and quickly diagnosed it as a hair clog. They used a snake to clear it out, and the water flows freely again. They even cleaned up the small mess afterward.”
“Our main sewer line backed up into the basement, which was a nightmare. Athens DrainCraft responded quickly. They located the issue, which turned out to be tree roots in the old clay pipes, and used a heavy-duty auger to cut through them. They got everything flowing again and saved us a huge headache. Very professional and explained everything clearly.”
